Número 3 de la revista Riff Rock

  Locky Pérez Con la edición del número 3, la revista Riff Rock terminó su corta trayectoria, pese a las esperanzas que se tenían en el futuro tal como quedaba reflejado en la editorial. Analizar ahora las circunstancias se me antoja como algo fuera de lugar, así que vayamos con el contenido. Además de las últimas novedades en cuanto a noticias internacionales, también se recogían otras interesantes a nivel nacional, como la celebración de un concierto en Portoviejo, la posible desaparición de Abraxas y el intento de Darío Antepara de “ resucitar” a Post Mortem . También se anunciaba el fin del programa Mundo Rock , borrado de la programación de la emisora donde se emitía. Si anteriormente habían aparecido Spectrum y Abraxas , en esta oportunidad le tocó el turno a Blaze como principal protagonista en cuanto a los grupos nacionales. La portada fue para AC/DC , de quien se incluía un informe sobre su trayectoria, como anteriormente se hizo con Black Sabbath y Judas Priest....

Mejores álbumes grupos españoles 2025

  Locky Pérez Este año he optado por unir en una sola lista todas las variantes estilísticas debido a que no he encontrado bandas suficientes como para diversificarlas en los tres grupos habituales.  En todo caso, partiendo de la base de que el promedio general de calificación en mis reseñas suele ser 8, en mi lista han entrado todas las bandas que han conseguido superar esa cifra, que en total fueron 13 en 2025. De modo que este año la lista es, obviamente, muy heterogénea y conviven desde el metal progresivo hasta el death metal, pasando por el heavy, el power y otros estilos más arriesgados y menos clásicos.   Locky Pérez What A Weird Hill To Die On , el álbum debut del grupo estadounidense Old Dirty Buzzard, estuvo entre mis preferidos de 2023 . Dos años después reaparecen con One Foot In The Grave, en el que vuelven a poner de manifiesto su radical propuesta sin rebajar ni un gramo de su actitud. One Foot In The Grave , es un movimiento lógico con el que Old Dirty Buzzard reivindican su compromiso con tendencias sonoras procedentes del doom, el sludge, el stoner y el heavy metal, así como de la fuente primigenia del hard rock setentero, con una especial asociación con ilustres mitos como Black Babbath y Motorhead , sobre todo con estos últimos de quienes incluso realizan una digna versión de “The Hammer”.
